INTERIOR DESIGN
Interior design means advice on colour schemes, fabrics, furniture, how to hang artwork, how to have rooms 'flow' together, and how to arrange living spaces for maximum comfort and effect.
The design process can involve re-working a single room to decorating an entire house or commercial property. It can mean starting from a completely blank canvas or styling existing furniture and favourite pieces to give a fresh lease of life to a space. It could be designing every detail of a kitchen or bathroom (right down to the taps and the tea towels!) or simply commissioning a single beautiful piece of bespoke furniture.
Alison talks in detail to each client to understand their taste, their lifestyle, and what they want to achieve. She presents a selection of ideas and helps the client find the one that feels right. Then she makes sure they achieve it - efficiently and on budget.
Some projects only take a few hours: perhaps you just need help unpacking and arranging your things beautifully in a new property, or want help choosing fabric to re-upholster a favourite chair? Other projects take many months, starting with an empty shell and some architect's drawings, and ending with a fully functioning home.
